American Legion Post 24 Monthly Meeting 11 April 2023

The meeting was called to order at 1800. The colors were posted and the Pledge of  Allegiance and the Preamble to the Constitution were recited. The Post Chaplain offered the opening prayer and the POW/MIA memorial conducted. After a short business meeting, 2023 – 2024 were installed.

Reading of past minutes: The Post Adjutant read the previous minutes to the membership. A motion was made to accept the minutes as read. The motion was duly seconded and was carried.

  • Operating Fund: $520.00

Scholarship Committee:

  • Complete for Academic Year 2022
  • Presently will not have funds to award a scholarship in 2023 (Linwood Croteau
    Memorial)
  • Ford Memorial Scholarship advertised/Due date 15 June 2023
  • Fire Chief Manning may have a candidate

Legion School Award:

  • Commander Boehmler will contact middle school for information
